James E. Mitchell, Sr.

James E Mitchell, a native of Copiah County, is Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of Copiah Bank, National Association. He is a graduate of Hazlehurst High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Jackson State University.  

 

He has done further studies at the Louisiana State University School of Banking of the South and has attended numerous conferences and seminars to broaden his banking knowledge.

 

Mitchell currently serves as Vice President of the Copiah County Economic Development District Executive Board, President of JSU Copiah County Alumni Association, HE-CEL, Inc. Board of Directors, Friends of the Hazlehurst Library and a Member of the Golden Square Masonic Lodge.  He formerly served on the Board of Trustees of the Hazlehurst City School District and Copiah County Human Re-source Board of Directors.  James is a Saving Our Sons Mentor.

 

Mitchell and his wife, Bonnie are active members of Greater Damascus Church of Christ Holiness in Hazlehurst, where he serves as Deacon.
